Yep, I’m going to go. At least that’s how I’m leaning.
Even though my coworker says I’m crazy, I’ll do the 15k in Bruges, and then take a side trip to Amsterdam (because that’s where I really want to go) afterwards. And yep, I’ll go it alone, unless I find someone to join me within the next few weeks. Because just the tiniest bit of googling has made me feel confident that I can have a really great time, see some excellent sites, get in some good running (and knitting) all by myself. So I’m pretty excited.
And I’m also excited for an upcoming 20k here in NJ with some members of my running club. I caved to some peer pressure, and actually joined USATF so that I could “race” for my running club’s racing team. Which is so wrong for me in so many ways–I’m such a clydesdale compared to these quarter horses, but they insisted that my participating would “help.” (I’m really having a hard time getting my head around that, but, that’s what they’re saying).
